Felt like writing, so I wrote something with Shadow and Rouge, involving attempts to cyber. Not sure how it came out and it's nothing above a PG/PG-13 level, but here it is. 8D Currently using screennames given to me by Seve/
sevetenks, might change them later if I think of something.
The familiar ding of his computer was what drew him out of his thoughts. The blasted thing had been making noise ever since they required him to have one. It was pointless, but they insisted on it, probably so they could try to make him do even more work. The only part of it that interested him even a little was that it had him hooked into GUN’s communication network. As annoying as it was to have people bother him at odd hours, it was convenient for receiving updates or messages while he was in the office.
Unfortunately, a few clicks revealed that this was one of the times where someone would be pestering him. He rolled his eyes as he saw the message attached to the screen name of his well-known ally and fellow agent.
inurbase: So, what are you wearing~?
Weren’t there better ways to greet someone? The question was absolutely pointless given his usual wardrobe, but he knew why she was asking it. He’d be the first to agree that paperwork was boring, but that didn’t mean he was willing to tolerate her attempts to harass him for entertainment.
th1515wh014m: Find something better to do.
inurbase: Oh, c’mon, don’t be that way! You must be as bored as I am.
th1515wh014m: Your point?
inurbase: My point being that we could have a little fun~
Shadow wasn’t sure if he approved of her idea of ‘fun.’ It was no secret that GUN saved all conversations held over their network and randomly chose which ones to review. He may have been bored, but he knew their superiors were more likely to look at one of his conversations considering their rocky relationship. Did he really want them to see him participating in whatever Rouge had in mind?
He must have taken too long to respond, because the messenger window dinged and blinked, signaling it had a new message.
inurbase: Don’t tell me you’re scared?
th1515wh014m: No.
inurbase: If you’re really that worried, please keep in mind that I wasn’t hired just for my charming personality.
It was true Rouge was an expert when it came to hacking and hiding things, but he still had his doubts about whether she could do that to the government’s computers. Unless she had already… Which wouldn’t be all that surprising; she didn’t seem that worried about anyone with the right level of clearance peeking in on this.
th1515wh014m: Been busy this morning?
inurbase: You could say that. You’d think they would have more protection on their computers…
He smirked. Thorough, like always. This was part of the reason why he continued to work with her. Competency was hard to find nowadays, especially attached to her kind of skill.
th1515wh014m: Do as you wish, then.
inurbase: I know just where to start. ♥
