Here. I shall make the spoilers so your post isnt misleading.
D: ONCE AGAIN, DONUT IS MORTALLY WOUNDED AND WE ARE NOT SURE IF HE'LL SURVIVE! :[ First the grenade to the head, then the ship, now Wash shooting him :[
Also, Epsilon!Church's laserfacing CT was AWESOME. :D
Donut's good for almost deaths, though this time, I think it's for real. I get the feeling that Dan might want to move on from RvB, but I hope that vibe is wrong because sob, Donut.
I think that was my second favorite line in the episode, with Epsilon saying that CT should fear his laser face, lmfao.
Tucker has been badass ever since he got that sword. I want to see a flashback to when Tucker first got the ruins and met CT or his misadventures with Junior.
Well we don't know that for sure... but yes, I assume he won't. Also, I don't think he's dead. Dan doesn't really work regularly at RT and can always do lines by phone. Though, that scene... I mean, it really was very dramatic, in the way you might expect a main character death (an actual death, I mean) to go. So who knows. But I have a hard time believing he's dead.
Also, Wash is badass. Not that we didn't know that. Tucker, too. And Epsilon's laserface line was, like, the best thing ever.
I'll cross my fingers for Donut's survival, but I'm not gonna hold my breath or get my hopes up. I would miss all his awesome lines if he were really dead, though. 8(
I thought that line of Epsilon's was the best fucking thing in the episode until Wash said his last two lines, oh god. Shannon hit those dead on, ffff. I think I need a Wash icon now, just because of that.
I recall that being awesome but I was so shocked by that point that I don't remember it as well. I should rewatch that episode like... right now. Since I finally have a chance to.
Yeah, I knew it was badass and awesome the first time around, but didn't really catch all the words/entire meaning until I watched it again. XD Hm, I think it might be time for a third watching.
I find that three times the day of is adequate for getting the most out of an episode. And then I usually watch it again on Monday before the new one comes out. Yesterday, though, Angela and Melissa and I watched a ton because we needed to get Melissa caught up in time for the finale. Sunday we watched BGC seasons 3, 4, OoM, and the first 2/3 of 5; Monday we watched the rest of 5, Recovery One, Recon, Relocated, and all of Recreation. It was some intense and awesome marathoning.
...oh my god. That is amazing. I wish I had the time and attention span to watch that much all at once. XD One season is the max I can usually sit for.
It was really interesting to watch so much back-to-back to compare the pacing. Recreation felt so slow at one episode a week, but as a season as a whole it feels just about right. While I love Recon and think it's pretty much the most awesome thing ever, it feels way too fast when sandwiched between 5 and Recreation, and our newbie to the show said it was like a complete information overload. Which it sort of is, I remember thinking that to some degree as well the first time. But then I immediately went and watched the commentary, and re-watched the season again the next day, and only then did I really get everything out of it. I still prefer it to Recreation, but the sequel is excellent when taken as a whole, moreso than it did piece by piece.
Maybe once some time passes, I'll find some time to watch it all and be able to sit still long enough to accomplish that. Winter break will probably be my best bet of that, depending on if I end up at home or the apartment. Until then, I shall take your word for it.
Okay so I just rewatched it. It didn't feel quite as awesome this time - apparently its awesome is not retained as well as Reconstruction's was. But that's fine - Recon is hard to top. Anyway, next season will clearly have angry Epsilon firin' fis revenge lazorz at some point, based on the dialogue. I look forward to this immensely. Also, I look forward to Church and Tex coming back, obviously.
I won't be surprised if they use Church's theme as the dvd credits music as well as the web finale music - it is one epic song and the latest version sounds brilliant. They sure do like to use it though - watching all the RvB that I have lately, I took special notice of when that song crops up in the series, out of mere curiosity. It is absolutely everywhere, sometimes in situations that have very little to do with Church or the ifrags, because it is just so cool-sounding.
Man, I want Epsilon to rage all over next season for every little thing. The guy has as much to be pissed about as Wash does. Maybe they'll have some kind of epic showdown of inner RAGE.
I want the DVD so I can see how pretty it is. And the Shorts DVD. And well, all their DVDs since they have that sale going on right now, sob.
Especially given how he really seems to believe he's Church right now. Anger just follows naturally. Though why he does, when he knew he was Epsilon while posing as Delta, is a little strange. It's also a possibly relevant note that he seems to believe he's Church, as in, not Alpha but the young Director. Though I suppose that will change when he accesses his memories. But still, that he seems to have abandoned his self-identity as Epsilon is a little strange.
Yes. And the new Trocadero album. I want that a lot.
Well, if he's the Alpha's memories, that means he probably has a vague sense of being the "Director" and not Private Church. Caboose constantly talking to him about things Church has done and everyone later referring to him as Church may have helped with that slip from thinking of himself as Epsilon to Church.
Anyway, I found it more weird that everyone was talking about Epsilon like he was Church, than Epsilon thinking he was Church since it could be explained simply as Epsilon is cuckoo. XD;
Weirdest part was when Caboose was all, "We've got to get Church!" and "You say that and we always lose him!" to Tucker. It's beyond just saying he's Church, they seem to be referencing past things with Epsilon as Church.
It makes me intensely worried that we won't get real Church back at all; that they'll just resurrect a version of him via Epsilon. I don't know why that bugs me so much, but it does. Also WHERE IS TEX AGH.
I don't think they will, but I wouldn't put it past Caboose to try since he was making a Frankenstein robot body, probably for Epsilon to inhabit. And I wish I knew the answer to that, sob.
