I hate that my computer's clock is a minute off from the countdown they use for the new RvB episodes. It makes it seem like I'm one minute closer than I actually am. Sometimes, a sponser account looks pretty tempting.

EDIT: And now that it has been seen, so much awesome and spoilers to talk about. 8)

There's that or the Tex with him in the trailer was the 'real' one and something seriously wrong happened to her during her offscreen time. There's a lot of time there to account for, even if the ship crashed a year in the future.

And now Epsilon has updated itself with everything Caboose has been telling it. Given Epsilon's wonderful marks in sanity, I wonder if that'll have any effect on the potential Alpha knowledge it might have. Even more wires crossing in it and messing up memories would likely cause a whole lot of problems.

The way she just appears out of nowhere is what makes me think that's not the case. But with AI, who knows. Crazy computer programs.

It seemed like Epsilon was doing a fair job of keeping track of what the reality of the situation might have been, though. It obviously understands that Caboose is a moron and that nothing he says can be taken at face value.

Also, I find it interesting that most everyone seems to refer to Epsilon as "it" rather than "him" like we'd do for Delta, Omega, Gamma, etc. Just a random observation.

Same here, but it's a possibility that I'm keeping in mind until we find out wtf happened.

True, so maybe there's nothing to worry about there, at least.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that we've seen some kind of personality attached to the other three and with Epsilon all we know is that the poor thing isn't in any condition to be installed on anyone's armor which means it hasn't actually spoken.

Another interesting thing is that Epsilon's 'storage compartment' is the grav lift, which I found amusing while I was playing Halo 3 the other day. 8)

Hehe, yes. Hooray for using random objects for purposes nowhere near their original design.

Well, it has spoken once, as "Delta," but yeah, not as itself. Himself. Whichever.

Oh yeah, and it can't be coincidental that Epsilon's hologram is basically identical to the Alpha hologram. Er, when he's glowy and blue as opposed to white and ghosty.

I wonder how they hold the thing like that. Maybe if I hold down the x button in combat, it'll let me... I must experiment with this later and look stupid on Live. 8|

When did they show Epsilon's hologram? He's been in that storage compartment and I don't remember them showing him as a hologram.

I need to rewatch Reconstruction, obviously. I always get through the first half and then get dragged away by something or other, bah.

Isn't looking stupid what Live is all about? ;D

Episode 4 of Recovery One.

Okay, here's another thing. Wasn't Tucker's sword on the Pelican with Junior and the other alien?

From: [identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com
Well, on occasion. Other times it's about making everyone else look stupid when you have a killing spree with the sword or rocket launcher.

Yeah, totally don't remember Epsilon even making an appearance in Recovery One.

...Shit, you're right. Badass Tucker must have gotten it back somehow. If the aliens did get off the ship, do you think they might have something to do with the digging project?

And I totally need more RvB icons since I keep reusing the same two, sheesh.

From: [identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com
Well maybe you should rewatch the first few seconds of that episode then. :o

I'm sure they do. If he has his sword, then the others are probably there with him somewhere, likely in the temple. Possibly opening the temple with the "key" was the next part of the prophecy? And Tucker and Donut and the rest of that team happened to be assigned to go investigate the energy readings coming from there as well. And then CT and Smith went as well to do the same thing, only they had more guys and were prepared to fight, but they couldn't get into the temple because they didn't have the key. They killed a bunch of Tucker's teammates first though.

Yeah, I need to make more. I'll get around to that soon enough. Can't wait until the Recreation dvd is out so I can get nice caps from it.

If I do that, I'll end up watching all of Recovery One and attempting to finish Reconstruction, which will not bode well for my attempts at studying.

This makes me want to see the inside of the temple even more. Action packed episodes at Sandtrap make me hate that level a little less.

Man, I can't wait for Tex's reappearance since that'll mean I can get a Halo 3 icon set for her. It'll be a thing of beauty. And murder.

Want me to make a screencap?

Yeah, that will be nice. Although, I actually really like how a lot of the Halo 2 ones turned out for her. Something about the textures in that game make for interesting, more artistic icons. The lighting in Halo 3 is nice, but things tend to look almost plastic in comparison to Halo 2 stuff.

If you really want to.

I never got a chance to play Halo 2, so I'm more attached to Halo 3's graphics at the moment, which is why I want an icon set from that game for her. I love her current one, though, and man, it's pretty to look at. 8)

It's not like it takes much effort. I'll finish up what I'm watching now and then do it in a bit. Give me like 15 minutes, maybe.

You're welcome. ;D

Okay, dood.

...How the fuck don't I remember that? It's like a gruesome suicide shot.

From: [identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com
Uh yeah, that's pretty much exactly what I was wondering.

From: [identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com
Yeah, gonna have to watch it again tomorrow.

From: [identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com
That's pretty much all there is, just that one shot that opens the episode, and then on to the story again. But it comes across as especially shocking, what with the way the Recovery One episodes all open, with an image of a dead body for a few seconds, then black, then the title card. Usually the dead person is someone we have an obvious explanation for - Wyoming's grunts, North, then North and South both. But the last one being a representation of Epsilon's suicide is just... ouch.

Date: 2009-09-08 05:06 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com
Yeah, but if I couldn't remember that, then who knows wtf else I can't remember. Hence why I think I need to watch it again.

That last one is really depressing and makes me feel all kinds of sorry for the poor AI.

Date: 2009-09-08 05:14 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com
Sounds reasonable enough. You've only seen it once, right?

It makes me feel so sorry for everyone involved. Epsilon, Alpha, and Wash as well. It's just awful. D:

From: [identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com
I think I've seen Recovery One and Reconstruction once in its entirety, yeah.

Such a fucked up situation to be in. And then to be thrown in jail afterward.

From: [identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com
The first time I saw Reconstruction, I immediately watched it again. And then, like, three more times over the next several days. Let's just say I was impressed by it.

Maximum security, solitary isolation jail, as well, haha. I think Wash can handle it though. It must be annoying, but a little time alone is probably something he doesn't mind too much.

From: [identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com
I have problems rewatching things, but I've been able to rewatch most of RvB except for Reconstruction because like I said, once it gets about halfway through, something comes up and I don't get a chance to finish it.

Yeah, he probably minded it as much as Church minded being alone in High Ground for 14 months. :p Still sucks that everyone else gets a new base and he gets thrown in jail, haha.

From: [identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com
That is a terrible, terrible shame. There is so much good stuff in there.

Yeah, it does. XD; Well, hopefully he'll be let out early on good behavior, given how helpful he's being to the Chairman right now.

Tomorrow's not looking good either now that I've talked to some people about plans. 8D;

Let us cross our fingers for the poor man. May he be lucky enough to have the opportunity to move in with Caboose! ;D
