shinyget: (THIS IS MY BLARG I mean rage)

(no subject)

I forgot how fast panfandom places move, Jesus. If I don't check at least once a day, I miss a lot of crap. It's a little discouraging since unlike last time I was in a big place, I don't really feel like checking and reading a bunch of entries every day. Blargh.

In other news, I have a paper due this week, one next week, and three finals coming up (since second paper counts as a final). I'd rather play Oblivion than do any of that, though. I feel so lazy.

PROCRASTINATION POWER

Which game are you playing at?

[identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
I'm playing occasionally at Paradisa. Haven't done much yet despite being there for almost a month now. 8D;

[identity profile] biodisaster.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 10:40 am (UTC)(link)
Paradisa, orly?

Meh, Paradisa moved way too fast for me. Like srsly. I liked Somarium, but...I just recently dropped there for a couple of reasons.

I think I'm gonna try amat again once I figure out a journal name. Its probably just as bad or worse though.

[identity profile] biodisaster.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 10:43 am (UTC)(link)
On a more random note, I miss Flonne and Vector CR hardcore.

[identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Won't lie, main reason for joining Paradisa was because of some other RvB people that had... interesting canon relationships with the chick I was going to play.

Flonne and Vector were so fucking adorable, Jesus. I miss playing a lot of the characters I used to play and Flonne is one of those.

[identity profile] biodisaster.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
They so were. :< I miss playing a couple of my characters, but I've kind of rolled away from the Sonic Fandom, so its easier to ignore.

I'm just lazy and haven't changed my layout yet B|

[identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
I have, too, though I still get the urge to play Rouge sometimes, like this morning. I'm all about RvB right now, RP-wise. 8D;

[identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? I guess I only read the RvB characters at Paradisa. It seems so slow to me because of that. Church hasn't posted in, like, a month. :D; Neither has Caboose, I think. It's mostly just Wash and York being idiots.

[identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Church dropped a couple weeks ago due to lack of time because of rl issues, which is why they didn't post very much. I don't know if Caboose dropped and I didn't notice or what, since I check the OOC comm even less.

I just like skim most of the entries, like I typically do in panfandom games. I have a bad habit of if something doesn't catch my attention immediately or look like a character I know, I tend to ignore it and go ehhh. But when I have to hit the button to go see the past 20 entries while doing this, I feel there's a lot going on.

[identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah. That's sad. He entertained me. None of the other characters seem to have noticed. :D; Poor guy.

Well, Econtra was like that. I had Shadow's flist set to display 40 entries, and sometimes had to go back a page. It didn't feel like too much to me at the time, though. But yes, major skimming.

[identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
The Tex did, which is where York responded to his disappearance. Caboose is the only other character that would have really cared and he hasn't been active, so yeah. 8D;

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It used to not be a big deal, but now it just feels like more, since I'm doing more things. It's one thing to do one-on-one stuff, since that goes straight to my inbox, but this requires me to actively search through a lot of things to respond to stuff and blargh. I think it has to do with that, the char I choose to play there first, and the fact that I joined for the wrong reasons. I thought it might be interesting to play somewhere with a Wash and a York to interact with and that was... it, really. I've done stuff with other people, though, at least.

[identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? I didn't see anything about either of them noticing in their journals - and looking back now, I'm still not seeing it.

Got to go to work now, bye. :o

[identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, now I remember. She forgot to tag her entry. Just went back and fixed that. You can find it here.

Go earn that money. 8|

[identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
Ahh. Yeah, no tags would do it. I'm surprised at the lack of logs in Paradisa, too, though I guess it's just mostly done a different way, where the log-ish threads tend to just happen in the journals. It's sort of weird, organizationally, but then again I really like doing log-style threads.

What we really need is an RvB DR. Though that comes with its own set of problems as well, obviously.

[identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's really weird. I'm definitely not used to this style. 8D;

Like finding people to keep it alive, unfortunately.

[identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
Ah well. If every game played the same, there'd be no reason to have so many RPs on LJ.

Yeah. And I like panfandom anyway. Oh well.

Okay I'm gonna go eat dinner now, but I say that I'm bored with the current thread since it's lost pretty much all characterization relevance and so if you want to go ahead and tag that AU, I would approve wholeheartedly. :D

[identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
Pretty much, since I doubt they'll be having any important after talk. I feel weird leaving it off there, though, because it's incomplete. But I'll tag the AU in a bit anyway because I care.

[identity profile] shichahn.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I know, it's a weird spot to end it. So I'll go ahead and tag and we can finish it, but yeah, Future AU woo.
crankypsychoex: (Coming for you bitch)

[personal profile] crankypsychoex 2009-12-07 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
First spot we can leave it at, we can, just so it's less awkward.
ghost_bullets: (Hi there!)

[personal profile] ghost_bullets 2009-12-07 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds good to me.

[identity profile] biodisaster.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
dkjsaghdk Econtra

Dude,I ignored like...95% of Econtra.

[identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
...Won't lie, I did, too. Which made it kind of boring after a while. Very boring.

[identity profile] biodisaster.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
I watched like, the Sonic cast and...idk, a few others. Jareth, Jing and Kir...uuuh. Wow, I really can't remember too many of them.

The AU!Edward I watched a lot. But honestly, that was it. Then I left with Yukina.

[identity profile] shinyget.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
I just kind of skimmed through everything, unless I saw something my char could/wanted to respond to. I remember watching Zim a lot, whenever there was one. Free entertainment. 8)

[identity profile] biodisaster.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 07:41 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, Zim and Rouge, fucking lol.
ghost_bullets: (And now it's my turn to talk)

[personal profile] ghost_bullets 2009-12-07 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
Yep, same here. It's just too easy to do in a big game where so much of what happens has nothing to do with your characters. Which is why Aphelion will be forced to be small - I'm tired of games where you can ignore everything like that. So many times in Econtra (and other large games), something relatively major would happen in a thread, like something that would have a major physical impact on the grounds or something, and nobody would notice because nobody read others' threads. Aphelion is a small location, with a strong emphasis on person-to-person interaction and cooperation, so it just doesn't make sense to have a ton of characters that you'll never follow. I'll admit that subconsciously, a good deal of the game's design is probably a reaction to problems that Angela and I had with Econtra.

[identity profile] biodisaster.livejournal.com 2009-12-07 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
I don't mind the bigger games, but I can see where you're coming from.

I think Econtra was just...a lot of stuff I wasn't interested in.
