Of zombies and breaks

I am pleasantly surprised with Dead Rising 2. It looked like a big improvement from the first, but since I never really got into DR1, I wasn't that excited for the release. My brother got it for Christmas and since he hasn't felt like touching it much, I've been messing around in it and holy hell is it awesome. I think the only thing that'd make it better is split screen co-op, but I think that should be on most games anyway. They got rid of everything that was annoying about the first game and then made it better. The lack of photography is saddening, but making combo weapons more than makes up for it.

Other than gaming and relaxing, I haven't been doing much this break. They didn't need me at work and while that means no money, I am relieved since it means I do not have to spend my days working with small children and can get scholarships/REU applications filled out. I want to do something more interesting this summer and related to after college so I can stop worrying about it so much.

You can use the bullets to barter with. (I'm still hoping we're on a bottlecap system, though.) On the other hand, having a lot of ammo might mean that you have more a chance of being gutted in the middle of the night by a party member or wandering rogue. Yes. My paranoia does come in handy!

Looters in a zombie apocalypse are going to go for anyone who isn't a zombie because that means they are a survivor and probably have something of use, considering a lot of mundane items just got a lot more valuable.

So, Dead Rising 2 introduces a zombie's rights activist group called CURE (Citizens for Undead Rights and Equality) and they made a website for them. It's pretty awesome.
