I hate that my computer's clock is a minute off from the countdown they use for the new RvB episodes. It makes it seem like I'm one minute closer than I actually am. Sometimes, a sponser account looks pretty tempting.
EDIT: And now that it has been seen, so much awesome and spoilers to talk about. 8)

Date: 2009-09-08 02:49 am (UTC)I'm so excited. I bet the Meta is currently looking for clues to Church's whereabouts and oh man, Tucker is so awesome when he's badass like that.
Also, on AIM in case you wanted to talk about it there instead.

Date: 2009-09-08 02:53 am (UTC)BADASS TUCKER IS BADASS. I LOVE IT. And, dude, I'm wondering what the chances are that that is Church stuck in there. Although he did shoot at Donut, and Church likes Donut, so maybe not. Regardless, Simmons' reaction to seeing the Meta had me giggling for a good while. Especially since it paused just after that while loading.

Date: 2009-09-08 02:56 am (UTC)I really hope the badassery stays for a looong time. My mind was blown.
Did the Meta have that blue band on its armor before? I can't remember, but it stood out to me in this episode. The white armor made me think of Church at first, until I saw the weapon and helmet.
And Simmon's reaction to the Meta was probably my favorite part of the damn video, besides Tucker's reappearance. XD

Date: 2009-09-08 03:03 am (UTC)Yeah, he did have that blue band. That's normal. And I'm pretty sure that fooling people into thinking it was Church was the entire point of the shot where you just see his legs.
So, Meta's free, and Wash is in jail. Not good! At all! Especially if the Meta wandering around is an intentional part of the Chairman's plan or something.

Date: 2009-09-08 03:06 am (UTC)Maybe the Chairman is using the Meta to collect all the other AIs that might be wandering around, Church included. He wasn't happy about there being more than one, after all, and having the Meta take care of it in its renewed search for the Alpha (if Church is actually wandering about and all that) would be easiest.

Date: 2009-09-08 03:23 am (UTC)And man, I wonder just how fucked up the Meta has to be at this point. Not only did he have all those AIs in his head for an extended period of time along with all those enhancements (and that must have been a pimped out suit of armor since it sounded like they normally only come with one AI slot), but then to have all of them removed... Damn. Which also reminds me of how I want to know more about Wyoming's situation with Gamma removing itself from his head, but that's another story. 8|

Date: 2009-09-08 03:32 am (UTC)As for Wash and the Chairman... it's interesting how Wash referred to Epsilon as "the missing piece to the puzzle", and how Epsilon is still sticking to "memory is the key." I think the Meta was sent out to retrieve Epsilon, if anything. I'm betting that Wash either doesn't know Church survived, or knows but hasn't told the Chairman - either way, all the Chairman knows is that Epsilon is still out there. When Caboose told Wash he still had it, Wash told the Chairman where it was, and the Chairman sent the Meta to collect it. Wash still wants to turn Epsilon in, I'm sure, and get justice for himself since he had to put up with all of that in his head.
I don't think there's any limit to how many AI can install in a slot, if the inside of Caboose's head is representative of the same thing. Because he's had at least three at once.

Date: 2009-09-08 03:38 am (UTC)The main thing with Epsilon being the key was knowing where the Alpha was, it seemed, so it makes me wonder about what else that piece of AI is important for, beyond having incredibly sensitive knowledge of the program. Maybe the Chairman wants to store it away or get firsthand information on what the Freelancer Project was truly up to for the court case against the Director.
That confused me recently, too, since I was under the impression that there was one AI slot in their armor and at the time they did that, sure they were 'ghosts' until they decided things later. You're probably right, it just must put more and more strain on the user and all that.
